Basic browser troubleshooting

Learn how to troubleshoot PandaDoc browser-related issues.

Updated today

If you experience any issues with PandaDoc, these basic troubleshooting steps can help fix browser-related problems.

Incognito mode

The easiest way to check whether an issue is browser-related is to repeat the actions in an incognito (private) window.

Incognito mode operates in a separate window. It disables the cache and extensions without the need to alter your actual browser window.

Note: You’ll need to log in to PandaDoc in an incognito window.

Chrome

Open an incognito window using these shortcuts:

Windows: Ctrl + Shift + N
Mac: Command + Shift + N

Alternatively, select the ellipsis (three dots) in the top right, then "New Incognito Window."

Safari

You can open a private window by pressing Shift + Command + N, or by selecting "File" in the menu at the top of the page, then "New Private Window."

Microsoft Edge

Open an incognito window using these shortcuts:

Windows: Ctrl + Shift + N.
Mac: Command + Shift + N.

Alternatively, select the ellipsis (three dots) in the top right, then "New InPrivate Window."

Firefox

Open an incognito window using these shortcuts:

Windows: Ctrl + Shift + P
Mac: Command + Shift + P

Alternatively, select the menu button at the top right, then “New Private Window.”

mceclip7.png

Opera

Open an incognito window using these shortcuts:

Windows: Ctrl + Shift + N
Mac: Command + Shift + N

Alternatively, right-click on the Opera icon, then select "New Private Window."

If everything works fine in the incognito window and you can no longer reproduce the issue, clearing browser data may help solve the issue in your browser tab.

Clearing browser data

Clearing your browser cache can help remedy performance issues with PandaDoc, especially slowness and glitches. This also applies to cases when a problem arises in a PandaDoc modal window within a CRM.

  2. In the pop-up, select "All time" at the top, then "Cached images and files"

  3. Select "Clear data"

Updating your browser

For smooth performance, we recommend using the most recent version of your browser. Find more information about supported browsers here.

Chrome

To check if Chrome needs to be updated, open the browser and look in the top right corner. When you see the “Update” button near the ellipsis (three dots), an update is required.

mceclip0.png

If you don't see this button, select the vertical ellipsis, hover over “Help”, then select “About Google Chrome.” Your browser will then check for an update and automatically begin installing it. Select “Relaunch” to complete the update.

Safari

The most recent version of macOS automatically includes the latest version of Safari. Make sure you regularly update your macOS.

To check if your macOS is up to date, select the Apple menu in the top left corner of your screen, then “System preferences.” “Software Update” will then open in a pop-up window.

Next, click the “Update Now” or “Upgrade Now” button to install the latest version of macOS.

Note: Updating might take up to an hour.

Firefox

Select the Menu icon at the top right, then “Settings.” Go to the “General” tab, scroll down to “Firefox Updates,” then select “Check for updates.” If you have the latest version, you will see a message that says “Firefox is up to date.”

Additionally, you can allow Firefox to automatically install updates (this is recommended). You can also select “Check for updates,” with the option to choose if you’d like to install them.

Opera

On Mac, select Opera in the menu bar (or the red Opera icon in the top left, if you use Windows), then “Update & Recovery”. Next, select “Check for Update.” If the browser doesn’t require an update, you’ll see “Opera is up to date.”
