New editor for uploading PDFs

We’ve updated the PandaDoc editor for PDF uploads! The refreshed layout is cleaner and more intuitive, making it easier to add fields like signatures, dates, and dropdowns, without altering your original PDF content.*

* You can place fields anywhere on your document, but the PDF content itself can’t be edited in this version of the editor.

Highlights of the new editor:

  • Simplified right sidebar: Only the most useful tools are shown – things like signatures, initials, and date fields – so you can work faster.

  • New top menu: You’ll now see familiar options like File, Insert, and View at the top, just like in other tools you may use.

  • Cleaner content area: The background is now white, making it easier to read and focus on your document.

  • Streamlined top bar: Fewer buttons mean less distraction and easier access to what matters.

What are these changes?

We are excited to announce a redesigned editor navigation experience. The goal is to streamline the user experience by reorganizing sections into clearer, more intuitive categories.

FAQs

1. Can I switch back to the old version?

Yes! Navigate to the upper right corner and select the Need help button > select Return to classic design. You can switch between the old and new editors at any time.

2. Will the update affect all user roles?

Yes, the update applies to all roles. However, feature access still depends on individual user permissions.
