Home is the first thing you see when you log in to your PandaDoc account. Home allows you to track your documents’ latest activity and quickly identify any that need attention.

Note: Users with a member role don’t have access to workspace activity.

Let’s dig deeper into each section.

Document activity

Document activity is the best place to check the progress of documents you’ve sent — and act on documents that require your attention.

Note: Only the documents you own will appear on the Home page.

The “Drafts” tab allows you to check on all documents you’ve created but haven’t yet sent, as well as documents that were sent but, then, later edited and returned to draft status.

The “Actions required” tab shows all documents that need your signature, approval, or any other action to help move them toward completion.

The “Waiting for others” tab allows you to easily check all your sent documents that haven’t been completed and finalized. Here you’ll find documents in “Sent,” “Viewed,” “Suggest edits,” “Waiting for payment,” and “To approve” status.

Tip:

You can quickly remind recipients to sign the document in the “Waiting for others” tab. To do so, hover over a document on the far right, click three vertical ellipses, and select Send reminder.

The “Finalized” tab, fittingly, shows all your finalized documents (including those that have been paid), as well as manually declined and expired documents.

You can filter documents by time frame or sort them by Newest first or Oldest first.

By default, you'll see documents created in the last week. To change this time frame, click the View options button on the right-hand side, then choose Customize tabs. After that, select your preferred time period from the dropdown menu (e.g., 1 week, 1 month, 3 months, 1 year).

Note: While Home shows documents that have been created only within the last year, if you’re looking for older documents, go to the document list view.

In the Customize tabs section, you can also choose which tabs to display in Home. Uncheck the tabs you don't need to monitor, then select Apply.

To start creating a document, click the +Document button in the top right of the Home page. The dropdown menu immediately to the right allows you to create a new folder, bulk import documents, or send documents in bulk.

To access your Inbox, which stores documents requiring your signature or documents sent to you by another PandaDoc user, click the Inbox icon in the top right corner of the Home page.

The Timeline section, which you can access by clicking the Timeline icon in the top right corner, gives you insights into your document status and activity.

Documents overview

Click the Team Dashboard button on the top right to access the documents overview activity. This action will take you to a report detailing your team's activity within a specific workspace.

Note: Users with a member role don’t have access to the Documents overview.

This section provides insight into your team's pipeline; its tiles display recent documents sorted by their current status. (Note that a document can only be in one status at a time.)

Here’s a quick breakdown of each status:

  • Draft: A document that’s currently being edited and hasn’t yet been sent

  • For approval: A document that’s waiting to be approved internally (available for accounts that have enabled approval workflows)

  • Sent: A document that’s been sent to recipients, but hasn’t yet been viewed

  • Viewed: A document that’s been opened by recipients

  • Suggest edits: A document that’s being reviewed by a recipient

  • Completed: A document that’s been completed by all signers

  • Waiting for payment: A document that’s been completed, but hasn’t yet been paid (available for accounts with an enabled payment integration)

  • Paid: A document that’s been completed and paid

  • Expired: A document that wasn’t completed within a permitted time period

  • Declined: If a deal is lost, you can move a document this status

On each status tile, you’ll see a total value. This reflects the amount of revenue currently sitting in each status within the selected time frame. These are calculated based on the value of each document. Only documents in your default workspace currency are included in this calculation.
