PandaDoc checks the spelling in your document as you edit it. Misspelled words get a red wavy underline, and you can fix them with one click.
Note: Spell check is rolling out to accounts gradually. If you don't see underlines in your documents yet, the feature isn't enabled for your account yet.
Where spell check works
Spell check covers text you type in the document editor:
Text blocks
Tables
Text fields
Pricing tables — product names, descriptions, custom text columns, section names, and footer text
Note: Quote builder block is currently not supported.
Numbers, prices, quantities, discounts, and tax values are never checked.
Note: Spell check checks spelling only. It doesn't check grammar or suggest rewrites.
Fix a misspelled word
Select the underlined word. A pop-up opens above it with suggested spellings.
Select the suggestion you want. Hover over a suggestion to see Apply suggestion.
The word is replaced and the underline disappears.
Note: In pricing tables, the first click selects the cell. Select the underlined word again to open the suggestions.
Ignore a word
Use Ignore for names, product terms, or other words you know are correct.
Select the underlined word.
In the pop-up, select the X icon (Ignore).
The word stops being flagged everywhere in the document.
Note: Ignored words apply to your current session only. When you reopen the document, the word is flagged again. There's no option to add words to a personal dictionary.
Use the keyboard
Move your cursor into a misspelled word. The pop-up opens automatically once the cursor is at least one character into the word.
Press Tab to move through the suggestions and the X icon. Shift+Tab moves backwards.
Press Enter to apply the selected suggestion, or Esc to close the pop-up.
Right-clicking a word opens your browser's standard menu, not the spell check pop-up.
Supported languages
Spell check supports two languages:
English (US)
Spanish
PandaDoc picks the dictionary from your document's language setting, not from the text itself. In documents set to any other language, spell check doesn't run.
Note: British English isn't supported. Words with UK spellings, like colour or organise, are flagged as misspelled. Use Ignore to clear them for your session. Reach out to our Support team if you'd like to disable spell check for your account.
Note: If your document's language setting doesn't match the language of your text, spell check hides all underlines in that document instead of flagging almost every word. To get spell check back, set the document language to match your content.
Limitations
Spell check isn't available in the PandaDoc mobile app.
Quote blocks aren't checked.
