PandaDoc is transitioning from Pricing tables to Quote builder — our modern, scalable pricing tool and the foundation for all future quoting improvements. This article explains what's already changed, how to convert your remaining Pricing tables, and what to do if you're not ready to migrate yet.
Note: Pricing tables are no longer available for new users on Free, Starter, and Business plans. Quote builder is now the default pricing tool for all new accounts. Enterprise accounts retain access to both.
What has already changed
Automatic template migration (Business plan, April–June 2026)
Templates on the Business plan containing Pricing tables were automatically upgraded so the pricing section uses a Quote builder block. The following carried over during the upgrade:
Line items, quantities, prices, discounts, taxes, fees, and totals
Table structure: rows, columns, and section layout
Design settings: fonts, borders, header styling, colors, and spacing
Data merge status, column mapping, and merge rules
All pricing calculations
Pricing tables hidden for new users
New accounts on Free, Starter, and Business plans can no longer add Pricing table blocks to documents or templates. Quote builder is the default pricing tool for all new signups on these plans.
Convert a Pricing table using the Try Quote button
Starting July 27, 2026, a Try Quote button appears inline above any Pricing table block when you hover over it in the template or document editor. Selecting it converts that Pricing table to a Quote builder block in place — no manual rebuilding required.
How to convert a Pricing table
Open a document or template that contains a Pricing table.
Hover over the Pricing table block — a small toolbar appears above it.
Select Try Quote in the toolbar.
The Pricing table converts to a Quote builder block. Your line items, totals, and layout are preserved.
Review the converted block and save the document or template
How to undo a conversion
If you want to revert after converting, use Version history. This option is available to Admins, Managers, and other roles with template editing permissions.
To restore a previous template version:
Open the template
Click Template history
Locate the version created before the upgrade
Click Restore version
Classic editor
New editor
Note: Documents that were already created or sent from the upgraded template will not be affected by a restore.
Pricing table configurations not yet supported
The following Pricing table setups are currently not converted correctly by the Try Quote button or the automatic migration. We recommend continuing to use Pricing tables for these cases until support is added:
Complex rich-text product descriptions in Pricing table cells
Pricing table variables referenced in document or template content
Profit and margin calculation columns
QuickBooks Online (QBO) integration users
Documents created using the Transfer data feature
Conditional Smart Content and Conditional Approvals — coming to Quote builder by end of August 2026
The following configurations are fully supported and work correctly after conversion:
Pasting into Inline Quote table cells ✅
Multi-section pricing tables ✅
CRM data merge and data mapping ✅
Document value and payment value ✅
Volume-based pricing ✅
Hidden columns, Contract Term column, and column permissions ✅
What's not changing
Pricing tables continue to work normally in existing documents and templates. You won't lose access to existing Pricing table content. There is no removal date for Pricing tables.
Note: Pricing tables are in limited support mode and will not receive new features or non-critical bug fixes. Quote builder is where all future quoting improvements are focused.
