Adding a sequence on a template
Now, once you have setup your sequences, it’s best to set them up in your templates, so your future documents created from this template will include the sequence and number.
Open a template, click the context menu > Template Info, scroll down to Template Sequence and click on the “Gear” icon.
Сhoose your Sequence you've just created or create a new one here. Сlick “Apply” when finished.
Note:
templates can acquire a sequence only, all documents created from these templates will inherit this sequence and a corresponding number. Here's what your template with sequence applied will look like in the list view. Next image shows a document created from this template.

Use the Sequence variable to populate the sequence number
Once you have configured the above, you can go to Data > Variables, there you will see a variable at the bottom of the list called “Document.SeqNumber” that you can use to populate on the document body.
