How do I change the owner of the account?

Account owners can transfer ownership by going to Settings > Billing, Ownership can only to another member of your PandaDoc account.

The account owner can transfer the ownership by going to Settings > Payment details.

Note: Account ownership can only be transferred only to another member of your PandaDoc account.

  1. Go to Settings > Payment details. Under Account owner, select Change account owner.

  2. Next, start typing a user's name or email address to find and select them from the dropdown. Select Transfer.

  3. Then, an email will be sent out to the old owner, i.e. you, so you can confirm the ownership transfer.

If the account owner has left the company, reach out to us to change the ownership.

Note: If you have only one license in your account and you do not wish to add a second license to invite a second team member for the transfer, you have the option to change the email address and update the name in the Personal info settings to complete the transfer.

I see the error "This person already owns an account. Choose a different member"

The user cannot be an owner of two PandaDoc accounts. If you see the error when you try to transfer the ownership, reach out to our Support Team.
