  • Search for document names or contacts using the @ symbol

  • Include timeframes in searches (e.g., "this quarter," "last 6 months")

  • Ask follow-up questions to drill down into results

  • Request summaries, key pricing details, or reminder drafts

Don't:

  • Use vague prompts like "find the contract I sent last week"

  • Ask questions about Templates (the AI Assistant only works with Documents)

  • Ask for content generation or document editing

How to provide feedback

Your feedback helps PandaDoc's AI Assistant learn and improve over time. After any conversation with the AI Assistant, you can rate your experience using the thumbs up 👍 or thumbs down 👎 buttons.

Use thumbs up when the AI Assistant gives you a helpful, accurate result. Use thumbs down if something is off or didn't work as expected. Every rating helps the team make the feature better.

Important limitations

  • Template work. AI Assistant works with documents, not templates or Content library items

  • Content creation. Won’t write document content or edit existing documents

  • Rich media from PDFs. Can’t extract images, tables, and graphics from PDF files

Data privacy

For information on how PandaDoc handles your data when using AI features, see the PandaDoc AI Policy.
