Last week, I mentioned that we would discuss new PandaDoc features. Our Product and Engineering Teams have been working hard to improve PandaDoc so that you can easily locate documents and important information.
In this post, we will discuss the following:
Are you ready? 👀
The new Document Filtering functionality is perfect if you want to find documents created by specific team members, sent to a particular recipient, associated with a specific date (creation, expiration, or modification), or has a particular status.
Navigate to the Documents section and apply the filters.
Once you have used the filters to find the document you’re looking for, you can use the new Document Information Panel to review important information.
Document Information Panel
With the new Document Information Panel, you can access document Analytics, Details, and the Audit Trail without clicking into the document.
You can access the new Document Information Panel in two places: the ‘Workspace activity’ view in the Dashboard and the Documents section. Users with a ‘Member’ role will not have access to ‘Workspace activity’, but can access the Document Information Panel via the Documents section.
Let’s review where to find these:
Option 1: ‘Workspace activity’ is located next to ‘Your activity’ on the Dashboard:
Once there, click on one of the tiles on the Dashboard and hover the cursor over the document you would like to view information about:
Option 2: When you are in the Documents tab, hover the cursor over a document, and you will see the Document Information Panel button appear:
Once you click the ‘Info’ button, you have quick and easy access to the following information:
- Document Analytics, such as which recipients have opened and signed the document.
- Details about the document, such as document owner, expiration date, creation date, and the date the document was sent.
- Audit Trail to see a step-by-step history of the document status changes.
If you haven’t used any of these features, take some time and practice!
Let’s recap what we’ve discussed and preview what’s coming next.
Recap & What’s Next
Let’s review the fundamentals:
- Use the new filtering options in the Documents section to find specific documents quickly.
- Use the new Information panel to review a document’s analytics without opening the document.
Make sure to take some time to review the Help Center articles included in this post so you can familiarize yourself with the new features and dive in!
Next week, we will review how to send your documents. We will also review how to duplicate your documents and turn your documents into templates so that you can have a master copy of your most used documents and save time.
We want to hear from you before then!
