Redlining with PandaDoc Simplified
PandaDoc has offered redlining for a while now, but it can be confusing to both document senders and recipients. We’ll break down the ‘how-to’ for both sides in this post.
Document Sender:
Start at the Template level and make sure the document is set up for External Review: Click the three dots at the top right of the template and select ‘Setup Workflow’ then toggle the switch next to ‘In external review.’ This will ensure that the document participants can redline all documents created from this template.
Document Recipient:
When a recipient receives one of the documents that are setup for redlining, they can click on the ‘Suggest Edits’ button on the screen’s top right. This will prompt you to download the document as a .docx and begin the redlining process within Word.
Once the suggested edits are completed, save the .docx file, and then upload it back into PandaDoc.
The document sender will be notified via email that there are suggested edits, and they can review the document to update or reject the edits.
This process can be repeated until all redlines are agreed upon.
