I’m not a decision-maker. How do I get a document signed?
If you work in SaaS or any part of the sales industry, it is very likely that you are working with companies that are more than just sole proprietorships; this means that when sending documents to your contact, they may not always be the decision-makers.
So how do you get a document signed by a decision-maker if you have no direct contact with them?
Easy
PandaDoc has a feature that allows the recipient to not only forward a document but also forward the signing privilege.
You can find a very detailed description in our Help Center check it out here!
Basically, before sending a document to the recipient, you will need to enable the forwarding option.
Here’s how you can do it:
- At the top of the document click on "Manage.”
- A window with recipients will appear.
- Enable the “Document Forwarding and Signature forwarding option.”
- You’re good to go - Send the document.
Once received, the recipient will be able to forward the document for signature to a decision-maker. The decision-maker will be able to sign the documents, and you can close the deal.
What to do if a document was forwarded (possibly by mistake) but needs to be signed by the initial recipient - let’s say Signer A?
To get the document back to Signer A the sender would need to edit the document, reassign the Fields to Signer A and resend the document.
