Customizing your Header and Footers
You can add a custom header and footer to your PandaDoc Template or Document. To get started, simply double click the top of a Content Page. Once the Header section is activated blue helper text will appear letting you know that you are working within the Header section.
Inside the section, there will already be a text block where you can add in information such as your address or even a variable. From there, you can drag and drop other blocks as needed. Once the blocks are added you can click the green vertical line to resize the blocks.
Design
You can change the font, font colors, and background of any of the blocks within the Header or the Footer.
Additionally, you can also change the overall, default look and feel of the entire Header or Footer section. To do this click on Design >Customize Theme > and then click Header & Footer.
From here you can change all font colors at one time for both the Header and Footer, the background color of the section, turn on Page Numbering for the PDF or printed version of the document, and more.
Note: The Header and Footer functionality is only available on Content Pages (portrait and landscape) and not available on the Cover Page.
Your Turn
How are you customizing your headers and footers to stand out in the crowd?

Hey Scott,
Unfortunately no. Footers and Headers are applied across all of the standard content pages. However, you could use a Cover page if you want just one version of a footer on a particular page. Cover pages work differently than the standard pages in that you can add content all the way to the edge of the page and they do not adopt header or footer items.
Thanks!

Hey Philip,
Unfortunately at this time, no there is no way to have the page number visible in-app. I would suggest adding this to our Idea Portal.

Hi Gateway Travel :)
Image size isn't really an issue unless it is over 3000 x 3000 then there will be problems. I believe the issue may be with the quality of the image. Typically DPI is for printed images but it does also affect images online. I would recommend images over 80 dpi up to 300 dpi. See the image below for reference.
If this does not solve the issue, or the images are already higher quality I would reach out to support@pandadoc.com and have them take a look. They will ask for the template URL and for the image file so they can test on their end.
Thanks!

Hi Jamie,
Unfortunately, page numbers associated with the list in the Table of Contents is not possible at this time. I would recommend adding this request to our user-voice, idea portal.
Thanks!

Hi Mike,
Unfortunately at this time headers and footers cannot be saved as a library item, and besides background color, they cannot be saved at the theme level.
Please be sure to ass this suggestion to our Idea Portal.
Thanks

While we've added initial fields and others to footers in the past, I've been unable to do so on new templates. Is there a step I'm missing? I double click into the Footer, click in the field were I need the Initial box to go, select the Initial Fillable field, and it will generate in the main body of the document, instead of in the Footer, and will not allow itself to be relocated down below the main body of the document. Suggestions? Thank you!
