How to Sign a PandaDoc Document
Signing a PandaDoc document is easy.
You or your recipients will get an email letting them know that a document was sent to them with instructions to ‘Open the Document’.
Once the link is clicked and the document is open, at the top of the screen they will see a message letting them know how many required fields they have to sign.
As a recipient you can scroll through the document to read or you can click Start at the top of the screen to be brought to the first required field.
Once all the fields are filled in, it is important to click ‘Finish’ on the top toolbar. This makes the document complete. If this is not done, the document will always be shown as Viewed and will not be a legally binding document.
*Please also note that the arrow buttons on the top toolbar are only for Required fields - such as Signature, Initials, or Dates. Not all fields placed on a document will need to be required, so if there are other fields/sections that do require action from the recipient it is best to mark those fields as required.
Your Turn
How often are your recipients confused by the signing process?

Hi Shannon,
Yes, this is a measure we have put into place to be more GDPR compliant, however, please reach out to support@pandadoc.com and they can deactivate the notice from popping up for documents sent from your account.
Thanks!
