Uploaded Templates vs. Uploaded Documents - What’s the Difference?
There are a few different ways to send documents for eSignature using PandaDoc:
- Uploaded Templates
- Uploaded Documents
- And more... (Editable Templates, Bulk Send, Forms, API)
But you may be wondering? What’s the difference between Uploaded Templates and Uploaded Documents? And which one should I use?
If your document is:
- a generalized document
- that’s not needing to have the text customized
- and is one that you will send over and over again
you‘ll want to create an Uploaded Template.
If your document is:
- a customized document specific to a particular recipient
- and something that you’ll only send one time
you’ll want to use an Uploaded Document.
You may be thinking, what are the benefits of creating an Uploaded Template vs. using an Uploaded Document every time?
Uploaded Templates save time! When you upload a document, you’ll need to place and assign your fields each time. When you use an Uploaded Template, your fields are already placed, and you can assign them all in just a few clicks.
