My name is Josh Gillespie, and I was PandaDoc’s first sales hire back in 2013. I now head up our Enterprise Sales program, assisting our customers and partners that have over 1,000 employees. It’s my role to ensure that we provide a world-class experience and discovery process for our largest prospect and clients (no pressure). I love helping our customers see the maximum possible value from PandaDoc, an equally challenging and rewarding gig.
It’s been an amazing 9-year ride at PandaDoc as I’ve seen the company grow from 15 to 800-ish employees. I’d like to think I was one of the first people that saw the potential in PandaDoc, but I just needed a proposal software for my small business at the time and stumbled upon this super sweet web app with a funky name (I owned a candy company with my wife but that’s a whole ‘nother story between me and my dentist…okay fine check us out on Restaurant Startup here).
I always get asked what’s changed for me at PandaDoc, but my role has always been more or less the same: to secure the best possible business relationships with bigger and bigger companies that can grow as PandaDoc grows. I love my job in that every customer engagement is uniquely complex and requires the full use of my brain. I also have an amazing team of SDRs, Solution Engineers, Account Managers, Onboarding Specialists, Support Reps, Executive Sponsors, and other contemporaries that make selling at PandaDoc a true honor and privilege. Teamwork is the true key to longevity in any sales role.
On that note, I thought I’d drop a few anecdotes for work and life below to hopefully help others looking to push through whatever obstacles they undoubtedly have in their own sales careers (especially given the times!).. These are some of the ones that have helped me “crack on” over the years (as our clients in the UK like to say).
