Can I remove "optional" text?

I have checkboxes on a form I am going to send out.  They are optional, but I don't want text to show up that says "optional" if I hover over it with my mouse.  How do I turn that off?

  The ability to remove the 'Optional' text isn't available at this time. However, I submitted a product improvement request in our idea portal on your behalf. You can add another vote, leave comments in the request, and subscribe to receive updates regarding the status.
