    Hey Simon,

Thanks for reaching out via the Forums!

The ability to autofill the Date Field is not available at this time. I do apologize for any trouble here.

However, a feature request regarding the ability to autofill the Date Field with the date of signing has been submitted in our idea portal to our product team. I have submitted another vote on your behalf. You may submit another vote, subscribe to receive updates regarding the status, and even add in the comments.

If needed, you are able to see the exact time and day a document is signed via the Signature Certificate

    Thank you for choosing PandaDoc!

That makes automating an agreement commencement date on date of signing impossible. I cant belive such a core need has been left out.

    Hi Christopher,

I'm going to chime in and support what Bradly is saying.  I think this is a big functional gap to not have a field which captures a date time stamp of when a signor executes an agreement.  Not only does not having this create more work for people, but it also creates logistical nightmares because signors the opportunity to forward or backdate these fields (which is what a date picker field is for) but in the case of commencement dates a document recipient shouldn't be able to choose, the date time an agreement is signed should be objective and immutable.

    Thanks for listening.

Just signed up and this was the first thing I looked for. That said, great support site where I was able to find the answer to this quickly but I also agree with the comments above. Very important feature.

Will the signature date be implementing soon?

This is 1 of the main requirement for contract signature. It should have been 1 of the first function before launching pandadoc.

All courts/ bank will required this as part of the legal evidence for the person who is signing this document.

Don't want to pile on here, but feel this needs to be brought up as often as possible, in as many places as possible. Really, really, really need this, otherwise you can't stand behind any esigned document reliably.

    Hey Nicole,

    Thanks for reaching out.

I have confirmed with the team working on this feature that it's in progress, but there isn't an ETA I can provide at this time. I will keep everyone posted as soon as I receive any additional information about the release.

    Hey Christopher

Is there a way to bring this feature into the field tags when using the API to upload a PDF?

Pandadoc will currently parse the field {date:user___}, but this obviously doesn't autofill the signing date.

    Any help, much appreciated.
