[Classic Editor] Documents auto numbering

Auto numbering allows to assign a sequence and a number to every new document you create.
Availability: Business and Enterprise
Enable it via the Add-ons store, Productivity category.
Auto Numbering Setup
Go to Settings on the lower left > Settings > Auto Numbering. Click on “Add Sequence” to add a new sequence and a start number. Click Add when finished.
Note:
a sequence can have up to 32 characters with a starting number up to 9 digits.


Adding a sequence on a template
Now, once you have setup your sequences, it’s best to set them up in your templates, so your future documents created from this template will include the sequence and number.
Open a template, go to More > Settings > Template Sequence and click on the “Gear” icon.
Сhoose your Sequence you just created or create a new Sequence here. Сlick “Apply” when finished.
Note:
templates can acquire a sequence only, all documents created from these templates will inherit this sequence and a corresponding number.Here's what your template with sequence applied will look like in the list view. Next image shows a document created from this template.


Use Auto-numbering token to populate the sequence number
Once you have configured the above, you can go to Content > Tokens, there you will see a token called “[Document.SeqNumber]” that you can use to populate on the document body.
Adding sequence and numbering on documents
If you need to add/change the sequence on a document, go to More > Settings > Document Sequence
Note:
you will not have the option to change the number of the document.
Searching by sequence
Go to the Documents section in PandaDoc, click Search and search by a sequence and number.
