Upcoming navigation changes in PandaDoc

Updated over a week ago

Starting October 1st, 2025, PandaDoc will be rolling out a new navigation experience for all users.

The new layout is cleaner, simpler, and faster to use, so you can find what you need with fewer clicks.

If you’re an admin, you can turn it on in Settings → Set up workspace → Early access (choose Select users → Apply → Save changes).

If you don't manually enable the new navigation, it will automatically roll out to all users in the coming weeks.

We’ve updated navigation in four key areas: Home, Inbox, Documents, and Templates.

1. Home

The Home page has been redesigned to make it simpler and more action-oriented.

Here’s what’s new:

  • A new +Document button has been added directly on the Home page. It works the same as in Documents, so you can start a new document without leaving Home.

  • Overall, the page looks cleaner: default statuses (Drafts, Actions required, Waiting for others, Finalized) remain visible at the top, but the layout is less cluttered and easier to scan.

  • Select View options next to Finalized tab → Customize to change time period and document statuses you'd like to see on your Home page.

2. Inbox

Inbox has moved!

  • You’ll now find Inbox as a button at the top right of Home, Documents, and Templates.

  • You can now archive document notifications you don’t need to act on.

3. Documents

  • Navigation inside Documents is now horizontal tabs instead of a long vertical list.

  • New Recent tab shows documents you and your team have opened or edited most recently.

  • Folders are part of the main document list. To see folder tree, go to All documents → View options → Show folder tree.

  • Instead of a separate Trash, there’s now an Archived tab.

  • Filters updater: filter by amount, currency, or combine tags filter with other filters.

4. Templates

Templates are now a complete hub for all reusable content.

Here’s what you’ll find in one place:

  • Document templates

  • Content Library items

  • Email templates

There’s also a new Archived tab, where you can recover removed templates, content items, or email templates.

Why these changes matter

  • A cleaner layout reduces clutter and helps you focus on important tasks.

  • Easier access to recent and archived items saves time and prevents accidental data loss.

  • All templates and reusable content are now consolidated into one section for faster setup and management.

How to enable the new navigation now

  1. Go to Settings → Set up workspace.

  2. Scroll to Early access → New navigation.

  3. Choose Enable for yourself or select other users from the dropdown.

  4. Refresh the page to see the changes.

FAQs

Will my documents, templates, or settings be affected by this update?

No. All your documents, templates, and settings remain the same. This update only changes how you navigate to them.

Where did Trash go?

There’s no separate Trash view anymore. Instead, use the Archived tab in Documents or Templates to find archived items and restore them.

I can’t find my folders on the left. Where are they?

Folders are still available. Go to All documents → View options → Show folder tree to display your folder structure.

What’s new about filters in Documents?

You can now filter by Amount and Currency, and combine Tags with other filters. This makes it easier to locate specific documents.

Do I need to enable the new navigation manually?

Not necessarily. Admins can turn it on early at the very bottom in Settings → Set up workspace. If you don’t enable it, the new navigation will automatically roll out to everyone in the coming weeks.
